Dear network,
I would like to share my experience with virtual coaching and the lessons that I have learned during the pandemic.
Until then, I would not use virtual coaching but only in-person coaching like in the “old days”.
In an age where working from home is the new norm, virtual coaching is inevitable. But what is it? And how effective is virtual coaching?
After the pandemic, when social mobility was low or sometimes even non-existent, video calls on Teams or Zoom became the new norm to catch up and continue a (semi-) normal working life. Ever since, the convenience has stuck. Minetum Consulting predicts that more and more of our clients will continue to work from home and refrain from unnecessary travel activities. As a result, virtual coaching and training has become a popular tool that allows for support and development wherever you are in the world.
But what exactly is virtual coaching?
According to The International Coach Federation (ICF) coaching is referred to as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”.
How does virtual coaching work?
In general, the process begins by setting the goals and expectations of your employees and you. You as a manager can of course supplement with your wishes but the focus of virtual coaching is on the individual being coached to maximize the outcome. You then schedule sessions with your coach, who will be able to provide feedback and accountability based on the measurable results.
How effective is virtual coaching?
At Minetum Consulting, all our clients have seen their performance improve after virtual coaching, and they have expressed how effective and efficient the virtual coaching experience has been for them. One client from a Fortune 100 company stated:
“I think the virtual coaching process is amazing and crucial for the individual, the team and the business in general.”
But why is virtual coaching so effective?
Because of the convenience of jumping on a Teams or Zoom call, the cost of virtual coaching is lower and more effective than in-person coaching programs – and we have proven that the results are just as good.
So, virtual coaching is an incredibly effective way to develop your employees, the organization, and the business.
