Across Oceans and Careers: How Helle Hansen Founded Minetum Consulting
Helle Hansen leveraged her experiences and skills to transition her career path into becoming a Career Coach. She has gained a diverse skill set and a wide range of different experiences. When all of Helle’s friends went to pursue a higher degree, she decided to travel across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States all alone, to explore the world and understand different cultures. Her life took a turn and she decided to follow her friend’s footsteps and gain a Bachelor’s degree at Copenhagen Business School and also receive an MBA from the University of Tampa. While studying at the University of Tampa, Helle was inspired by her own experiences, coaches that influenced her growth, and witnessing the transformative impact that career coaching can have on an individual’s career to start her own company. Helle wanted to pay it forward and values the art of helping others. She took advantage of the opportunities that the University of Tampa had to offer and participated in the accelerator and incubator program at the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center, which helped kickstart Minetum Consulting in 2019. Shortly after Minetum was established, Helle gained her Professional Coaching Certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She wanted to take her experiences and skills and apply them to advise and support professionals, students, and recent graduates who are in need of career guidance and professional development.

Helle Hansen strategically leveraged her many different experiences and skills to guide her in the creation of Minetum. It was not an easy road, but Helle was able to overcome challenges and setbacks using her skill set and experiences. Helle was able to adapt and use skills and education that she had gained from her past experience to create a service that would help others.
